"Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" Luke 6:46

Follow Through
As you began this journey of fasting, one of the first things you most likely did was begin to pray. Asking God to give you strength and motivation to complete the challenge ahead, and crucify your flesh, as you sought to know Him more.
Each day has been filled with choices. Resisting temptations, or giving in. Staying strong, or "caving." As you prayed for relief and the ability to keep going,
you may have wondered if God was hearing your cries for help.
Luke 6:46 is a precious reminder that not only does God hear, He's got a question for you as well.
In Luke 6:46 Jesus is saying, "You asked me to help you, so why are you refusing to listen to My direction?"
A 21 Day fast presents many challenges. Yet, we cannot expect God to move miraculously in our lives if we constantly disregard His voice.
God is very likely nudging you each and everyday during your fast. Many times it will be with a still small voice.
The one that gently asks questions like,
"Do you really need a cookie?"
"Are you going to quit now? After you made it through an entire week?"
"Wouldn't your time be better spent in My Word than on your phone?"

As we desire daily to trust God for complete success, let us remember that He is providing wisdom and direction. It's up to us to listen and follow through with the things that He is telling us!
As we enter into our second week of fasting together let's pray,

Dear God,
I know You led me to this fast, and I have asked You to help me in this journey.  I know You are here. Please help me to follow Your lead as You guide me with a still small voice.
Help me to say no to the temptations, stay in Your Word, and faithfully come to You with prayer and praise everyday.
I will never fail to give You all the glory, honor, and praise for Your mighty revelations and miracles during this fast.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
