Know His Name

“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name."
Psalm 91:14

Everyday we are looking for ways to be delivered from our strongholds related to eating.  Thank God, we are learning to pray and ask Him for help, but do we really understand the simplicity of the journey?  The Bible tells us that God will deliver us because we love Him.  And He will set us on high, because we know His name!  Do we really know His name today?  If we did, we would know that His name means more than Savior (even thought Savior is more than enough.)  But the name of Jesus implies that He is my Counselor, Deliverer, Strong Tower, Prince of Peace, and a Mighty God.  Sweet friend, He is everything you need for lasting weight loss.  Go to Him for counsel, peace, shelter from your storms, and deliverance from your temptations.  Know His name and watch Him set you so high above the struggles of weight loss, you will surely know, it was the Lord who delivered you!

Dear God,
I want to know Your name more than I ever have before.  I am learning that my love for You is truly what rescues me from the strongholds of this life; including my struggles with weight.  Today, I commit to seeking You, not food for peace, shelter, love, and acceptance.  Thank You God for being my everything!

E4M DAILY STRATEGY
Know His Name
It is so imperative to know and understand who God is in your weight loss and health and wellness journey.  Take a look at who He really is, through the many descriptions found in the Word of God.  Below are the ones I lean on in weight loss.  I encourage you to do the same!

Jehovah Rapha- The Lord is your healer.  The Lord wants to heal the pain that leads you emotional eating.  He is the almighty God, who  bore your sin and shame.  Allow Him to heal you.

Jehovah Shammah- The Lord goes before you. He is there.  He knows where the temptations are long before you face them.  He is already there.  Ask Him to guide you through every temptation to success.

Jehovah Jireh- The Lord is your provider.  Have no fear about tomorrow, the King of Kings is your provider.  He will meet your every need.  You need not eat in stress.

Jehovah Shalom- The Lord is your peace.  One of my all time favorites.  How often we seek food for peace and relief from stress.  God is our peace.  Savor the stress relief time spent with Him brings.
