Preparing Your Soul to Fast
💫 Welcome to Week Two of our 21-Day Fast preparation!
This week, we are diving deep into the heart of true spiritual alignment: preparing your soul—your mind, your will, and your emotions—for God’s transformative work.
Fasting is more than abstaining from food; it’s about surrendering your heart and mind to God’s will. As 2 Corinthians 10:5-6 reminds us, we are called to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. This means examining our thinking, identifying what pulls us away from God, and intentionally choosing His truth over the lies of doubt, fear, and distraction.
James 1:6-8 challenges us to move forward with unwavering faith: “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting…” In other words, we must make up our minds to stand firm in God’s will. Our emotions may waver, our thoughts may race, but when we anchor our will in God, our hearts begin to align with His purpose.
This week, we are focusing on:
Our Mind: Replacing negative, self-limiting thoughts with God’s promises.
Our Will: Deciding to follow God fully, even when it’s uncomfortable or inconvenient.
Our Emotions: Bringing feelings of fear, anxiety, or doubt into God’s light, letting Him guide us to peace and clarity.
Get ready for an engaging and empowering session where you’ll learn practical tools to steady your mind, strengthen your will, and cultivate emotional alignment with God. By the end of this week, you won’t just be prepared to fast—you’ll be prepared to walk fully in God’s will, with a soul ready for His work.
