What Do You Need To Hear Today

Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the Lord has comforted His people and will have compassion on his afflicted.
Isaiah 49:13

Often when I write, I think,
"God, how can I encourage someone today?  What do they need to hear?"  
Today, when asking that very question, I clearly felt a whisper in my ear,
"What do YOU need to hear today?"  
That's easy, I thought.  

I need to hear that I'm going to be successful today.  My eating habits will remain on track with my goals.   I need to hear that I will be loving when I'm interacting with my kiddos.   I need to know that I won't get distracted or sidetracked when working.  I won't allow social media to pull me away.  I will accomplish everything on my to-do list.  
And I desperately need to know that I will find joy in my day.
 I just need to hear that I can do this.  I can be all that God says I am today.
Is that what you need to hear today?  
Do you need a reminder that it is going to be a great day?  Do I need to remind you that God already knows what's coming your way today?  That He is already up ahead at the drive-thru during your lunch break.  And if invited, He can help you change your mind about what you plan to order.
 Do you need to know that He is already at school with your kiddo, who forgot their lunch on the kitchen counter?  And that He can help you enjoy that ride up to school as you deliver it with a smile.
(Albeit you reminded them fifteen times not to forget it.)
And He is there, up ahead in the early afternoon when your energy is waning and social media beckons to distract and sidetrack you with the mindless scroll that goes on for thirty minutes, keeping you from accomplishing the task at hand.  
Invite Him in (not Facebook, Instagram, or Tim Tok) to re-energize and give you motivation to be successful in the afternoon.
With so many varying messages out there, let this one remind you that today is going to be amazing.  Full of success.  Full of joy
(and possibly an unexpected trip to bring a loved one lunch.)  
But nonetheless, the Lord is up ahead wherever your go, and He wants you to know, "It's going to be a great day!"
I hope that's what you needed to hear!

✨We encourage you to pray the prayer aloud! ✨
Dear God,
I do need to hear this today.  I need to know that You are up ahead, and ready to fight my battles.  God, sometimes I feel like I am walking from one war zone to the next.  Help me today to realize that when I invite You in, there does not need to be a battle.  You have already fought and won on my behalf.  I will sing and shout for joy, for you have comforted me in my pain.  I praise Your holy name!
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray,

What Do You Need To Hear Today?
Be blessed to know that God has so much to say to bring you comfort and peace today.   Meditate on the following verse.  Consider writing it down and posting it where you can it throughout your day!

 "The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by his love; He will exult over you with loud singing."
 Zephaniah 3:17

1.  God is in your midst.  He is wherever you are.  
Call on Him at any moment and He will answer!

2.  He is mighty.  He has promised to save you from your pain!

3.  He takes joy in you and rejoices over YOU!

4. His love brings peace to your life.  Rest in His love today!

Find rest and rejuvenation, embracing the truths found in this one verse.  A beautiful reminder that today is going to be a great day!
