Win in Weight Loss

"But He answered and said, 'It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.'"
Matthew 4:4

Temptations are everywhere in weight loss:  work, school, church, television.  It seems as though as soon as we start a weight loss journey, Satan begins to work overtime trying to derail us.  
But this time your journey is different.  So don't get discouraged by the battle.   Remember that your struggles with weight and food are a stronghold like any other, and can be fought and WON with the same powerful tool you use to fight every stronghold in life:
Scripture!
This is exactly what Jesus did. When He found Himself alone in the wilderness and Satan appeared on the scene, Jesus used scripture each time He was tempted; even when He was tempted with food!
This is a powerful message for you and I in our weight loss journeys.  
Jesus reminded Satan, and so wonderfully reminds us too,
 "Man doth not live by bread alone, but by every word that cometh from he mouth of God."
As humans, we are constantly tempted to satisfy emotions with food, which often leads to overeating.  And eating unhealthy.  Today, let's change that.  Instead, commit to following the path Jesus chose for overcoming temptations.  Fight the battles you face against food, with the most powerful tool you have at your disposal everyday; the Word of God.  In addition, remember this; when Jesus used the Word of God to combat his temptations, Satan had to flee.
The same is true for you.  When you choose to utilise the Word of God to fight your daily temptations, Satan must flee.
Follow the lead of the One who overcame all temptations and watch your weight loss plans succeed like never before.  
That's how we win in weight loss!

Dear God,
Today, I realize that my struggles with food are a stronghold, and strongholds can only be overcome by Your precious and most powerful Word.  Help me to utilize the power that is at my fingertips through Your Word.  Help me to overcome Satan the way your Son did when He was on this earth.  Through the infallible and unchanging Word of God.  I give You all the praise and glory for my lasting success in weight loss!

How To Win In Weight Loss!
The Word of God is powerful in weight loss.  Use it to overcome every temptation, every single day.  Consider memorizing and calling out the following for verses when daily temptations strike!

1. "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”  
Matthew 26:41
Ask God to always make you alert and aware of the daily temptations around you.  We cannot escape what we do not recognize!

2. "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."
1 Corinthians 10:13
God will ALWAYS provide a way out of every temptation!  Just ask Him to help!

3.  "Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone."
James 1:13
God does not tempt us.  But He does rescue us!

4. "For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin."
Hebrews 4:15
God understands every temptation we go through.  He truly cares and desires to come to our aid!  Everyday!
