I Have Died

"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
Galatians 2:20


We don't often think of death in positive terms, but when it comes to dying to our fleshly desires and learning to walk in the Spirit, that my friend is a beautiful thing.  Did you know that when Christ was crucified on the cross, even your strongholds related to food were crucified with Him?  You no longer have to live as a slave to food, seeking food for pleasure, comfort, and stress relief.  You are FREE to seek the power of the Holy Spirit to satisfy those longings, and desires.  Jesus told the disciples before He died that He was asking the Father to send them a comforter and a counselor.  And He did.   That's why you have everything you need at your disposal.  The same power that raised Jesus from the dead, lives inside of you.  It's the power of the Holy Spirit.  
It's okay if this is a new revelation for you.  It was new for me once too.  But now it's time for you to live and walk as though Christ is living in you; because He is.  Through the Holy Spirit. Thank Him today that you have died, and He is living in you, guiding you to a healthier lifestyle, and lasting weight loss.  
All for Him!

Dear God,
I praise Your Holy Name.  When I think that you died so I could be free from all my strongholds, I am overwhelmed with gratitude.  Today I long to walk out my freedom in Your name.  Living for You.  Please guide my every decision, and thank You for loving me enough to die on the cross, so that I could be free!
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray,

E4M DAILY STRATEGY
I Have Died
Die to unhealthy habits and food temptations. Implement the following strategies to embrace the truth that you have died to your strongholds related to food and weight!

1.  Remove snacks or foods I'm your home that cause temptation and overeating: i.e. ice cream, candy, etc.
(Realize what you struggle with and remove it.)

2.  Avoid preparing dishes and desserts alone that have the potential to cause you to sneak and eat: i.e "lick the spoon, bowl etc.  
(Get a buddy in the kitchen.)

3. Avoid restaurants that have the potential to cause overeating:  i.e. endless fries, rolls, etc.  
(Buffets have no place in a wellness journey!)

4.  Avoid sugary drinks and sodas. Sodas and sugary teas are known to exacerbate cravings for unhealthy snacks.  
(We don't need help, we have enough cravings on our own.)

 Implement them and allow your unhealthy cravings and habits to die, bringing to life your new and healthy lifestyle!
