Are You Having one of "Those" Days
Don't forget the strategy at the bottom
We want to help you actively practice what you are reading today!
“He brought me out into a broad place; he rescued me, because he delighted in me.”
Psalm 18:19
We've all had them Those days that have us staying up late, and then getting up early. Putting out figurative fires, trying to manage the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
I have learned enough about trying times and stressful situations to realize that if I don't start my day in the Word of God, my day is going to go down hill quick.
Immediately when I start reading the Bible everyday, I see God's hand through the pages of His Word. Healing, delivering, and providing peace and comfort to all who seek Him. Literally, there is not one instance in the Word of God where He did NOT answer prayers, heal disease, or deliver those who prayed and sought Him with all their hearts. As I read today, other verses began to flood my mind.
"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden and I will give you rest."
"My peace I give you."
"Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.
They shall mount up on wings, like eagles."
Verse after precious verse, reminding me that He will always come to my rescue.
I have had trials and tribulations before. I have also learned that more often than not, it is the minor trials and tribulations of our day that cause us to eat uncontrollably. And trust me, I know what that's like.
But I also know what it's like to run to the arms of Jesus instead. And the benefits; peace, comfort, joy. Friend, there is nothing like it. No chocolate can compare. No chips can provide stress relief like the Word of God.
But it takes practice. You crave what you eat. You eat chips and chocolate when stress hits, and you crave chips and chocolate when stress hits. You feed on the Word of God when the enemy comes knocking, and you crave the Word of God when the enemy comes knocking!
This is not a switch that can be turned on.
It's a habit that must be formed. And you can do it.
Let's do this together. Ley's proclaim our victory even before we see it literally. Today, claim the verse that says,
"He brought me out into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me."
He will rescue us, sweet friend. What the devil meant to take us out today, God meant for good. So let's go! God's got a different day in mind for us. Let's go have
'One of THOSE days,' Shall we?
Let's Pray.
Dear God,
Yes, it's been one of those days, and I haven't even made it past the morning. God, You have told me time and time again to trust You. Your word tells me that all things will work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to Your purpose. I am standing on this and so many other promises I read in Your word. I am claiming my victory and giving You all the glory, honor and praise. Thank You for giving me 'One of those days!'
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray,
Amen

Are You Having One Of Those Days?
If you are in the middle of 'one of those days', be encouraged to embrace the following scriptures as your truths today. Let God rescue you with His Word; He delights in YOU!
1. “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.” Isaiah 43:2
2. “For He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.” Psalm 91:11-12
3. “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31
4. “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10
Take a look at the underlined portions of the verses. Combined they create this marvelous truth from God, for you and me today:
"I will be with you and command my angels to take care of you. I am on your side, and nothing will overtake you today. Just rest and be still. I am your God!"
